Hello al,
I'm schooled in sound engineering... so I understand that a sound source that comes from 2 separate channels and has two (or more) separate audio outputs is described as stereo. It was always my understanding that you cannot possibly have 5.1 sound on headphones because you don't have 5 speakers and a sub in 2 headphone speakers... Physically impossible. right?
Then I see DTS Surround Sensation, 5.1 sound on headphones... This is just market hype right? just a trick of phasing and panning to create this effect. Has anyone ever has experience with this "technology"? Is this any good for consumer audio? or just snake oil?
Thanks
I did not find the right solution from the internet
